La TrappeThere are only seven Trappist breweries in the world: six in Belgium and the seventh, Brewery de Koningshoeven and home of La Trappe, is located in the Netherlands. The friars handed over production to commercial brewers in the middle of the last century but returned control and began making Trappist style beers in 1980. It goes without saying that only natural ingredients are used in the production, according to a recipe developed by the monks and which utilises water from its own source. La Trappe BlondGold blond in color, made with fine hops and full malt refreshing and fruity in character. La Trappe DubbelA deep ruby coloured beer with yeasty fruitiness. La Trappe TripelA darker than average triple style beer, full of honey flavours but not too sweet. La Trappe QuadrupelA chestnut coloured brew - thick and sweet. First produced in 1991 as a one off beer. La Trappe WitteThe first and only Trappist white beer in the world, La Trappe Witte is fresh thirst quencher with a refined character. This product is unfiltered and undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle using traditional ingredients.
