First introduced in 1975, Liberty Ale is brewed with a top-fermenting ale yeast, responsible for many of the subtle flavours and characteristics. Dry-hopping imparts a unique aroma to the ale.
A strong barley wine, dry hopped throughout the maturation period of some 6 months. Although the yeast is unable to ferment all sugars out of any beer at this strength the hop flavours make a balanced brew ideal for sipping after dinner.

Originally from the brewery Gouden Boom (golden tree) in Bruges a flowery triple style beer with a slightly sweeter flavour than is usual for this style of beer. The beer has an aromatically toasty maltiness balanced by Goldings hop character.
