The brewery was founded in the 18th Century and is now the largest weisse beer producer in Germany and therefore the world. Erdinger only makes wheat beer and all their brews use an unusually low protein wheat which give a clean and soft tasting beer. A light and fruity wheat beer that is less spicy than many other weisse beers.

Urweisse

A particularly strong, spicy aroma, a distinctive yeast flavor and an unmistakable top-fermenting beer profile. The recipe for Urweisse dates back to the brewery's founding days over 120 years ago. It owes its distinctive, traditional weissbier flavour to a special malt, a different hop variety and a special yeast.
