Job Purpose

The Warsteiner Sales Brand Ambassador will have the responsibility to drive profitable distribution, volume and awareness of the Warsteiner brand in the UK on-trade channel. Reporting to the National Wholesale Manager with guidance from the Warsteiner UK Country Manager, the WSBA will work within the company’s own direct delivered customer base and with our network of wholesale partners supporting distribution, volume and executing our brand strategies.

The WSBA will have regular contact with the Warsteiner team in Germany and will develop expertise in both the brand and the UK market for “World Lagers”.

This role will be key to achieving Warsteiner’s ambitious plans in the UK.

This will be a national role so frequent UK travel must be expected.

Key Responsibilities

Driving Brand Distribution in the Wholesale Channel

Working alongside our partners at Head Office, Sales Team and their customers level the WSBA will strive to meet and exceed targets for both brand distribution and volume.

Driving Brand Distribution in the James Clay Direct Delivered Network

Working alongside our James Clay Team and their customers the WSBA will strive to meet and exceed targets for both brand distribution and volume.

Supporting Key Customers and “Lighthouse” Accounts

Irrespective of the Route to Market the WSBA will support key accounts and form a regular point of contact to ensure the brand is represented in the appropriate fashion in outlet, retain the distribution point and drive rate of sale, including the implementation of brand activations.

Execution of Key Brand Objectives

Outside of attaining distribution points and delivering volume the WSBA will be involved in the delivery of strategic brand marketing objectives, supporting and coordinating events, festivals and other consumer facing activities to facilitate the implementation of the brands marketing plans in the UK.

Act as a point of contact between the UK and Germany on Warsteiner along with the Country Manager.

With a close working relationship with both the UK James Clay team and Warsteiner in Germany the WSBA will be an important resource for customers and sales team on all aspects of the brand as their expertise facilitates brand knowledge and growth. It would be expected that this role will involve overseas travel at times accompanying customer visits to the brewery.

Effective Budget Management

To deliver objectives a budget to invest into accounts will be available to the WBSA. Effective management of this resource will be a key to success.
