About The Role

This position will suit someone who is looking for a job that is a combination of office-based administration and practical work associated with beer importing warehousing and distribution. They must have a good understanding of supply chain procedures, be active in inventory audits, with an analytical mind, and strong attention to detail. They will need to communicate constantly with the Warehouse Manager to make sure items are replenished and perpetual inventory stock counting / accuracy checks are conducted.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the role has direct responsibility for warehouse inbound delivery receipt, put away, pick face stock replenishment, and stock location accuracy. Key accountabilities for this role will be;

  • Responsibility for removal of inventory from delivery shipments.
  • Inspection and confirmation of supply quantity & quality to maintain accurate receipt of inbound shipments.
  • Capturing best before dates including entry onto warehouse management system to provide visibility on stock best before dates.
  • Working with the Warehouse Manager, ensuring bin locations are available for all products in the racking and pick faces.
  • Using the Warehouse management System to ensure barcodes are applied to inbound stock as necessary.
  • Using the Warehouse management System to ensure pick face locations are replenished for order picking team.
  • Working with the Warehouse Manager to co-ordinate regular inventory level audits to ensure stock location accuracy (location counts).
  • Working with the Warehouse Manager to prepare detailed weekly stock loss reporting spreadsheet.
  • Work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure appropriate colleague support is assigned to Goods In and Put-Away as required.
  • Work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure appropriate colleague support is assigned to damages and stock returns.
  • Along with other key stakeholders the role will be involved in plans for any warehouse layout.
  • Liaising with Purchasing Team on potential stock risks due to best before date challenges.


Must have a fork lift truck operators licence
